After two years of putting out a total of 34 Jazz fusion compilation albums in tribute to the Jazz greats Millennium Jazz Music now presents the first official album by the Jazz Jousters in celebration of the second anniversary of the collective working together and still going strong.
This month we had an outside suggestion from our brother Alpha Saliou Daimaô of the ‘Le Gros Tas de Zik‘ blog and Radio show in France. During a conversation with Gadget he recommended a challenge for the Jousters to work with the sounds of John Hicks, a Jazz pianist who worked with several big names and even spent some time as a member of Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers.
Millennium Jazz Music presents ‘Unlimited‘, a small collection of productions from the Jazz Jousters as they take up our challenge to sample the acapella Jazz vocal harmonies of the Singers Unlimited quartet.
This is a small instrumental album featuring productions from RickMal, Gadget, Stay Classy, SmokedBeat, Pawcut, B3NBi and Dr Dundiff. We’d like to thank all of the above for taking up the challenge and trying something new.We hope you enjoy this project as much as we are.
